Collection: Curations & Curiosities

As a collector and creative, I've always had a fascination with items that have history and withheld the stand of time. When I was younger you would find me spending the weekends at markets, estate sales and thrift shops, hauling home items that most people deemed garbage. The sensation that I would get when I found a gem hidden from the public's eye was quite simply put, magic. My heart rate increased so quickly I could hear my heartbeat in my ears. My mind raced through a thousand different ideas, mental sketches and doodles on the drive home. Cancel all plans! I couldn't wait to get it home and start creating. I would shut away and tinker, many times forgetting to eat and rest. In the background you could frequently hear my mother say "if you only put this sort of dedication toward your studies..."

I would (and still do) take pieces and de/re-construct them into something other than its original use, breathing new life into it. There is something quite liberating about taking a piece of trash and turning it into a functional art piece. Even more so, the sense of accomplishment that comes from reworking pieces from another era is quite hard to beat.

Here, you will find creations constructed with little pieces of history that I have collected over the years. You will also find curated items from my collection that are seeking their new homes. Some are vintage, some new, some made locally and some hand crafted. You may find anything from jewelry & clothing, home decor to gemstones,  abandoned components from long lost machines to natural world curio pieces. All pieces spoke to me and invoked a sense of curiosity, exploration, inspiration and creativity. My hope is that you will find a hidden gem that will offer you those same feelings and experiences.
